Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) announced recently that it’s 4th quarter net losses for 2007 were over 50% higher than the same quarter a year earlier. AMO attributed its $12.3 million losses (up from $7.6 million previously) to the recall of and subsequent legal action over its Complete Moisture Plus contact solution.
Legal troubles aside, AMO saw a 25% increase in sales due to organic growth, as well as new acquisitions, raising its total to $304.6 million in sales.
