The CDC’s Involvement with Complete Moisture Plus

September 19th, 2007 · No Comments

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is just one of several governmental entities (see above) that felt compelled to put a high degree of effort into evaluating AMO Inc.’s Complete Moisture Plus contact lens solution product.  Generally, the CDC helps alert the public of problematic products, substances or any other entity that could lead to widespread medical problems as well as performing research to help overcome these conditions.

The contact solution recall lawyers at Williams Kherkher noticed how the CDC began to get involved with this product evaluation, and the reason the CDC was brought into the equation was because of its vast resources and an apparent cry for help from a state agency. For quite awhile prior to the CDC getting involved with evaluating this product, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) had been receiving input and data from a study being performed by the University of Illinois-Chicago.  As this data began to show itself in the grand scheme of things, the IDPH realized that the potential problems caused by AMO Inc.’s Complete Moisture Plus contact lens solution stretched much farther than the borders of Illinois.

Details of these results are soon to follow, but in the meantime, if you’ve been injured as a result of using this product, please do not hesitate to schedule a free initial consultation with the contact lens solution recall lawyers at Williams Kherkher.
